El Dorado in Williamsburg

El Dorados is a lot like many other Mexican restaurants found in the midwest and central states, nothing remarkably unique. However for this hungry fellow at the end of a long day of motorcycling Kentucky roads, El Dorados had everything I needed: large 64 oz Dos Equis amber beer on tap, mammoth tasty food portions, with fast and friendly service. Best meal we had in Williamsburg, KY.

Food good, dining area clean. Wait staff average

Nice restaurant in the area. While I am not well versed with Mexican food, I was not happy with the tortilla provided in the chalupa. Therefore, I deducted one STAR. Also, food was little blend for my taste bud. However, I must say the service was great and fast. The guac and veggies seemed fresh.

The Garcia special is an addicting plate.. it is great to eat.. will be here again

As a local. I have to say this place gotten really sorry over the past 3 years. They don't care how they prepare the food any more. And what they do serve is not by any means authentic Mexican food. It's thrown together any way. Half cooked, or not enough. Take out with hair in it. Unbelievable. Shape up or get out. Honestly.

I always like to have a positive outlook on things when I go to places but this place unfortunately just disappointed me way too much. The only reason it is getting a star is due to the fact that the food itself wasn’t terrible ( quite good actually, and not terribly expensive but slightly) but the service was absolute garbage. The host was average but was awful at communicating and was very quiet and reserved. The restaurant wasn’t busy but we couldn’t seem to get help from any of the many servers that were there. It took them three tries to get 2 boxes and our check ( one trip for each even though we specifically said in an easy to understand way). Would’ve understood if the restaurant was slammed but in all actuality it was almost dead. If you find yourself going down I-75 or Williamsburg Ky just keep on haulin to another restaurant.

This place is really nice. The food is GREAT! The wait isn't too long because this isn't a fast food joint. It's a versatile place that you can wear your Sunday best or wear your casual clothes and be comfortable. The waiters are sooooo good looking and friendly yet professional. The service is great and the restaurant is extremely clean. Highly recommended for singles, couples, and/or families and groups:)

Man stopped here on our way home from vacation and man was it great. Burritos were HUGE. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Would stop back for sure on the way they somewhere.

Salsa was fresh and delicious!! Good amount of cilantro made it perfect and the highlight of my day. I don't like bland salsa that taste watered down and old or canned. This was most certainly not that. Would probably come back again just for the salsa alone. Served with not the exact same chips you normally see in a Mexican restaurant. Little thiner and maybe not as salty so superb 😉. Feeling less than adventurous I ordered the Garcia special on the lunch menu. Portion size was perfect for me and I'm a big guy. Chicken seasoned good and covered in cheese dip🤤 Basic staple in my Mexican rotation. Wish it was a little more browned and wish grilled onion was an option, overall everything ordered was to higher expectation than a standard first time try Mexican joint. This is a good spot so first timers don't be shy. Service was prompt. Meal arrived very quickly and very hot. Location was clean will visit again

Always friendly staff and good food.

The service was great, we had a great server, but my chicken was so dry it was almost not edible at all. Also you should put a spoon in your silverware for children. It's hard for some two year olds to eat rice. Spoons help

This place is so good! Portions are huge with great flavor! Prices are the what we usually pay at any Mexican restaurant, 11.99 for a quesadilla fajita plate and 11.99 for a burrito supreme plate. Waiter did get part of the order wrong gave my husband chicken in his burrito but he ate it and said it was really good but he would have preferred his ground beef. We didnt bring it to their attention, I am sure they would have fixed it. We just didnt want to wait.

Wonderful atmosphere and great service! Food is delicious! They've got a huge vegetarian section, which is rare for places around here. They've also got a great selection of other dishes, including seafood, beef, chicken, and pork dishes. Good beer selection, as well. AMAZING taco bowls!! Well priced as well. Will definitely be back!

Pretty good food reasonable prices but over all the place was a little weird it took forever for us to get our bill and I found a string in my drink

I don't usually like to give reviews, but this place had extremely poor customer service! I went there and asked for ground beef taquitos, which is on the menu, and the cashier was very disrespectful- having an attitude and trying to sell me chicken taquitos instead... please, if you're Hispanic and have an accent don't even think to stop here.

Typical Mexican-style food, but very yummy. I got the lunch fajitas, which we're delicious. Also enjoyed the fresh salsa! The guacamole was a little creamy and over seasoned than I usually prefer, but my child loved it. Would stop again if we have the chance.

Fantastic Mexican food restaurant unexpectedly found in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The food was fresh, delicious, and generous portions. I ordered the Carne Asada, and for the first time in many years, got REAL portions of steak. It was beautiful and delicious. The salad was generous and fresh, including limes to add a dash of freshness to everything, and a roasted jalapeno as well. El Dorados of Williamsburg,KY is going to be on my travel itinerary when going down I-75. It is such a great reprieve from the endless McD's, BK lounges, Arby's, and the tastelessness perpetuated by Cracker Barrels.
